Look, it’s me! I didn’t die on the operating table after all!
Notice something different about me? No, it’s not a haircut. It’s the absence of my hammy gallbladder of course! It’s all done with now and I’m at home recovering. That has been a real trip, but I’ve only been readmitted to hospital once, last weekend as a bit of an emergency, so that is good going.
I’m still finding it hard to get around as I have stitches in my belly button ( euch!) So I’m stuck at home for another couple of weeks. At least I have my new iPhone to keep mr amused ( as if a million things to sew wasn’t enough)
Can’t wait to get back ony feet to give poor lee a break from running around after me and putting my socks on for me and the like!
Back to the sewing and come dine with me! I leave you with a photo of my new gallbladder which marceline brought me the other day. It’s much cuter than my old one.

I’m Claire and I live near Glasgow, in Scotland. I have strong family ties to Cincinnati, too and regard it as my second home. If I had to describe myself in five words, it would be thus: Does. Not. Suffer. Fools. Gladly.
I’ve been cross stitching pretty much all my life, but professionally since 2005, first as Miso Funky, then as The Bellwether and now under my own name. I'm known for my witty, sarcastic and occasionally profane typographic designs. My work has been featured in The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Channel 4 and on BBC television as well as numerous media outlets across the globe. At one point, I was kind of a big deal but I mostly just dabble in it these days when I have time.
My website is a repositry of cross stitch charts, travel and food blogging and you'll find it at www.antibullshitleague.com.
I also love to travel and eat, ideally travelling somewhere great to eat something brilliant. I'm fascinated by social history, particularly the Victorians and will absolutely beat you hands down in a quiz about the Tudors. Dogs are LIFE.
I like being in water and have lots of ideas that will never see the light of day but would definitely be a winner on Dragon’s Den/Shark Tank. I love to give people gifts. I! also! overuse! exclamation! marks! sorry!

Yay! Great to hear that all went well and that you’re on the mend.
Given how awesome you were with a dodgy gallbladder, God help us now you’re better! 😀
Speak soon.

How did the makers of the gall bladder plush know there would be such a real market for it? What a perfect gift! Glad you’re on the mend. Give your poor bellybutton a very gentle pat from me, please 🙂
