I’m on call today. Hopefully that means I won’t have to go to work. But I am kind of anchored to the house just in case. I do have a mountain of stuff to do, so it’s good to be getting on with it. Although as I am in my pyjamas at almost midday, you’d be forgiven for thinking I am not getting on with it.
But aha! I am! I’ve finished framing all the samplers for the mega wholesale order and that can go off once the cheque clears. The stuff for the exhibition at Turnpike gallery MUST go off today. There are other orders to go. So I must get dressed soon and go to the post office.
My new business cards and other excitement from Vista Print are waiting at the post office too, so even more incentive to go. I will finish the shop update and get to it.
The highlight of the shop update is the new miniature brooches range I have just finished:

These are now available here.
I don’t think I have much other news – work has been duller than ditchwater, my bank are really cheesing me off with their incompetence and I have some new shelves, but more of those later.

I’m Claire and I live near Glasgow, in Scotland. I have strong family ties to Cincinnati, too and regard it as my second home. If I had to describe myself in five words, it would be thus: Does. Not. Suffer. Fools. Gladly.
I’ve been cross stitching pretty much all my life, but professionally since 2005, first as Miso Funky, then as The Bellwether and now under my own name. I'm known for my witty, sarcastic and occasionally profane typographic designs. My work has been featured in The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Channel 4 and on BBC television as well as numerous media outlets across the globe. At one point, I was kind of a big deal but I mostly just dabble in it these days when I have time.
My website is a repositry of cross stitch charts, travel and food blogging and you'll find it at www.antibullshitleague.com.
I also love to travel and eat, ideally travelling somewhere great to eat something brilliant. I'm fascinated by social history, particularly the Victorians and will absolutely beat you hands down in a quiz about the Tudors. Dogs are LIFE.
I like being in water and have lots of ideas that will never see the light of day but would definitely be a winner on Dragon’s Den/Shark Tank. I love to give people gifts. I! also! overuse! exclamation! marks! sorry!

Oooh, these look nice 🙂 Since you are obviously my official fairy godmother, can I ask where you got your red and white butcher’s style string? I have been hunting for the last month or so to no avail. I should have known just to ask you… Ha!
