It’s been a while since I posted about actual craft, so here is an offering of my hasty craft project from last nite …

ho ho ho christmas cards!
This was a brainwave of mine last nite when I was having a quick breenj round Hobbycraft, which has newly opened at the Fort in Glasgow. It really does seem to have everything, including the bias binding that they said on the phone they didn’t have!
I stitched this in red to match the green cards and I am really quite pleased with how they turned out. I just need to find a better way to mount them (maybe steal Lee’s spray mount) and we’re laughing.
I have ideas for a mini-range of these, and may sell them, so stay tuned!
In other crafting news, progress on secret craft project #1 is going slowly:

I’m sure that the recipient does not read my blog, so I can reveal that it is a cross stitched black poodle for my cousins in America! It is taking WAY longer than anticipated, but I am soldiering on. Jo is kindly going to then make him into a cushion for me, potentially with some tweedy/tartan fabric to match their taste/decor.
I’ve also got several other Christmas crafting projects in mind and aim to get going on these ASAP! Some of them are secret, some are not.
This week will be spent mainly packaging up orders for website and making stock!

I’m Claire and I live near Glasgow, in Scotland. I have strong family ties to Cincinnati, too and regard it as my second home. If I had to describe myself in five words, it would be thus: Does. Not. Suffer. Fools. Gladly.
I’ve been cross stitching pretty much all my life, but professionally since 2005, first as Miso Funky, then as The Bellwether and now under my own name. I'm known for my witty, sarcastic and occasionally profane typographic designs. My work has been featured in The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Channel 4 and on BBC television as well as numerous media outlets across the globe. At one point, I was kind of a big deal but I mostly just dabble in it these days when I have time.
My website is a repositry of cross stitch charts, travel and food blogging and you'll find it at www.antibullshitleague.com.
I also love to travel and eat, ideally travelling somewhere great to eat something brilliant. I'm fascinated by social history, particularly the Victorians and will absolutely beat you hands down in a quiz about the Tudors. Dogs are LIFE.
I like being in water and have lots of ideas that will never see the light of day but would definitely be a winner on Dragon’s Den/Shark Tank. I love to give people gifts. I! also! overuse! exclamation! marks! sorry!
