Of course Haloween is more important than Christmas….especially if you’re dating a witch.

Day 20 – Chris Watch

Chris has not called, written, not even a text.  I like to think he’s playing hard to get and that he will of course call me at the 11th hour and say I’m in.  If nothing else, it would be a good day out for me and Jo (Lee is staying at home for electricity and football questions).

Last week was so busy – craft mafia launch (was fab! look at flickr), a meeting about the creative entrepeneurs speech we’ve been asked to do, a party on Friday (very fun – silly string in hair + drunken pakora = fun nite).  The weekend was a lot more quiet, altho still managed to cram in going to see Being Norwegian, a play at Oran Mor.  It was hilarious.  I was prepared not to like it, but it really was fantastic.  The actress acted the part of absolute loon very well.

It was part of the A Play, A Pie and A Pint thing – the pie was average at best, the pint disappointinly did not include pear cider and they way oversold the seats, so we had to perch on sofas we had to rearrange to be able to peer round a pillar – for £10 I was NOT impressed.  Afterwards tho we had a wander round the charity shops and then Jo and I went to see the Kylie exhibition at Kelvingrove which was good – she really IS tiny if the costumes are anything to go by.

Yesterday I photographed all the stuff for the new Miso Funky website which mar-c is building, very kindly.  Oh, mar-c is back!  Yay!  Lee’s away to Aviemore for 2 nites, so I am being a singleton for the next couple of days – tonite will be spent doing all the things I missed out at weekend, like cleaning bathroom, doing recycling and stuff – booooring!

Tomorrow tho is tea with my 2 favourite ladies and a tip to ikea!  Yay!

I’m Claire and I live near Glasgow, in Scotland. I have strong family ties to Cincinnati, too and regard it as my second home. If I had to describe myself in five words, it would be thus: Does. Not. Suffer. Fools. Gladly. I’ve been cross stitching pretty much all my life, but professionally since 2005, first as Miso Funky, then as The Bellwether and now under my own name. I'm known for my witty, sarcastic and occasionally profane typographic designs. My work has been featured in The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Channel 4 and on BBC television as well as numerous media outlets across the globe. At one point, I was kind of a big deal but I mostly just dabble in it these days when I have time. My website is a repositry of cross stitch charts, travel and food blogging and you'll find it at www.antibullshitleague.com. I also love to travel and eat, ideally travelling somewhere great to eat something brilliant. I'm fascinated by social history, particularly the Victorians and will absolutely beat you hands down in a quiz about the Tudors. Dogs are LIFE. I like being in water and have lots of ideas that will never see the light of day but would definitely be a winner on Dragon’s Den/Shark Tank. I love to give people gifts. I! also! overuse! exclamation! marks! sorry!
